About Goizueta Business School

MISSION

Goizueta Business School will be regarded as a thought leader,
creating and disseminating knowledge at the cutting edge of management
practice and developing principled leaders for global enterprise who
drive performance and value creation.

STRATEGIC PLAN

Goizueta Business School has enjoyed wonderful progress in the last
decade.  In addition to completing a capital campaign resulting in the
dedication of a new Doctoral and Executive Education Center, the
School has achieved top rankings across all of its programs.  The
degree programs – BBA, MBA, and EMBA – have been recognized in the top
tier of schools.  We are recognized for our innovative leadership
development program and for our rigorous and relevant curricula.  Most
recently we have launched the Center for Alternative Investments
(CAI), a vibrant corporate-academic partnership that has enjoyed some
early successes and will serve as a model for additional centers of
excellence as we move forward.

Our priorities for the next five years allow us to build on this
successful foundation while adapting to and thriving in our changing
environment.  Therefore, we are focusing on the people and program
development that is fundamental for a top-ranked global business
school, while aggressively pursuing the Center concept to project our
School’s intellectual capital and reputation as a thought leader.  The
School’s Centers will be School-wide resources with potential to
attract attention to our School from academic colleagues as well as
the broader world.

Achieve International Intellectual Leadership in Priority Areas
Goizueta faculty will maintain their excellence in teaching, their
commitment to students, and their strength in core areas.  At the same
time, faculty will drive Goizueta’s success by achieving intellectual
leadership positions either individually and/or through one of the
School’s Centers.  The CAI model will inform our exploration of
possible additional Centers in marketing, health care, social
enterprise, or other areas.  Success will be evaluated by a Center’s
ability to achieve recognition for our School as a thought leader in
the field; resources to support research; access to unique research
resources such as data; enhanced program offerings; an industry
network to add career opportunities for our graduates; and
opportunities in executive education.

Produce Graduates Who Are World-Class Leaders
Goizueta programs will achieve distinction by providing every student
with rigorous and relevant knowledge, career preparation, and
leadership development.  The Goizueta Business School’s Competency
Based Developmental Model will define our approach in these areas and
our corporate partners will provide feedback to help evaluate our
success.

Nurture and Support an Engaged Goizueta Community
We will advance our community by communicating our vision and strategy
and letting people know how they can help.  The Goizueta leadership
will fully support a dynamic, respectful community.  The School will
engage alumni both by identifying ways we can support them, and
identifying ways they can support the School.

Further Develop Our Corporate Network
Our corporate partners provide careers for our students, sustain our
Executive Development programs, support our emerging Centers, and
provide funding for important initiatives.  We will continue to engage
these critical partners by communicating our vision, insuring that
they receive outstanding talent, and offering partnership
opportunities that bring significant organizational value.
