Mentoring Program

NHEO Mentoring program brings together seasoned NHEO community members (NHEO Stars) looking to share their expertise and NHEO community member entrepreneurs looking to take advantage of experience of those who are aware of the challenges new entrepreneurs face.

Mentors
1.  Complete the program Mentor application
2.  Submit the form to NHEO at mentor@nheo.org
3.  Review mentee requests offered by NHEO
4.  Communicate affirmation or declination of mentee request to NHEO within 5 business days of receiving it
5.  Contact the mentee and determine the logistics of the meetings
 

Once a match is made and the mentoring engagement agreed to, the mentor and mentee self-manage the relationship to its conclusion. At the engagement’s conclusion, NHEO sends out a survey to monitor program performance and solicit input on ways to enhance it.
 

Rules of Engagement:
Minimum mentor time commitment of 4 hours per month.
Anticipated average length of engagement is 3-6 months.
Mentor and mentee agree to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
Both parties to maintain highest professional / ethical standards.
Mentors cannot accept fees or commissions for the Mentoring Service provided. Should a commercial opportunity between the two parties avail itself as part of the Mentoring relationship, both parties must end the Mentoring relationship before engaging in a separate commercial activity.
Either party may end the relationship for any reason the terminating party deems appropriate.
Mentee holds mentor harmless for any advice given.
Mentor has no claim to any mentee commercial successes or benefits from participating in the program.
Mentee has to be an active member of the NHEO community.
