Prof Teo is a multi-disciplinary senior management professional, with over 37 years of management experience in multi-cultural environments, having worked in Americans, Europeans and Asian companies. His areas of experience includes governance, fraud examination, auditing, economics, accountancy, information technology, Quality Management System, personnel management, logistics, shipping, marketing, engineering, and management consultancy.

His multi-functional mastery of accounting, finance, HRM, information management, logistics, administration, audit, internal control & SOX, risk management, is coupled with his multi-industry competence in petroleum refinery, engineering, electronic equipment manufacturing, paper & pulp, forestry plantation, shipping, freight-forwarding, travel, retail, education, and consulting. 

He was accorded the Singapore Institute of Management 5-Year Long Service Teaching Award and appointed as the Professor of Economics responsible for Governance Advisory at the China Institute of Directors.
